Our Royal Crest: It's All in the Details

One of our favorite designs is our Rosell Studios LLC Crest! Our studio wanted to design something unique, elegant, and illustrated by hand. The goal of this design was to create a bold piece that represents our brand - creativity, technology, and imagination. Heraldry is a system of symbols and designs used to identify individuals, families, and organizations, has a rich history dating back to medieval Europe. These distinctive emblems, which can feature animals, plants, and abstract patterns, were displayed on shields, banners, and seals. The word "heraldry" itself is derived from the Old French word "Hérault," meaning "Herald," the person responsible for creating and interpreting these symbols.

While heraldry has its roots in the Middle Ages, its influence can be seen in modern designs. House Stark (dire wolf), Gryffindor (lion), and Slytherin (snake) are a few examples of heraldry. Each animal stated above represents a specific value the members under a heraldic crest identify with.

At the heart of our design are three key elements:

• The Laptop: Symbolizing our innovative use of technology in everything from student workshops to game development.
• The Hand: Representing the human touch behind our digital creations. Our passion for illustration and design is the driving force behind our work.
• Teddy, Our Chief Wellness Officer: Our beloved Jack Russell Terrier, embodying the loyalty, energy, and enthusiasm we bring to every project.

These elements are surrounded by bleeding hearts, signifying our love for our craft, and strawberries, representing success and abundance.

Encircling the design is our motto, “EX CHARTA AD PUNCTUM AD IMPRESSUM,” which translates to "From Paper to Pixel to Print." This phrase encapsulates our journey from traditional design to the digital age and back to tangible products.

This crest is more than just a logo; it's a visual representation of our studio's identity. It embodies our commitment to creativity, innovation, and human connection.
